Because 17 years olds are great at chosing sensible careers? Because lower (50 -75) achievers aren’t getting their first preference in law or dentistry?

There’s very rarely a shortage of graduates in any field, there is MUCH more often oversupply. There are shortages of experienced professionals, and in certain population centres, and in certain government roles (because they pay less) and there always will be.
